A one off entry fee of $5 will be collected at the first winery you visit where you will receive a souvenir tasting glass. With the profits to go to the local CFA. Tastings of wines and sales of a glass of wine with your meal will only be supplied in the souvenir glass. In 2009 we raised over $5000, which was shared by 2 local CFA brigades.

The Yarra Valley’s smaller winemakers invite you all to join them for the 2010 Shortest Lunch. A moving feast of entrée size meals, it’s the perfect way to meander around the Valley’s boutique wineries and savour great food, wine and music, without the hustle and bustle.

The Shortest Lunch is our way of celebrating the shortest weekend of the year (the Winter Solstice) in a relaxed, family oriented weekend of progressive, all-day dining to ward off those winter chills.

With expertly matched cuisine, wine and even music, you can plan your day progressing from appetizers to dessert with dishes around $10 - $15, or simply drop in for a tasting and see what’s on the menu - you won’t be disappointed.

And with sixteen wineries throwing open their cellar doors, why not stay the night in one of the Valley’s cosy B&B's, motels or hotels and make the most of the shortest weekend of the year.
