Boat O´Craigo
Boat O’Craigo is second generation, family owned, boutique wine producer located in the Yarra Valley.
Over 50 acres of vines, spanning across two sites, enable Boat O’Craigo to produce outstanding, single vineyard, estate grown wines across a range of noble varieties.
Steve and Margaret Graham first purchased the unique Kangaroo Ground site in with the vision of planting a vineyard. The elevated site was then planted with Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Viognier, which resulting in their first vintage being produced in 2003. In the same year, a second vineyard in Healesville was also purchased in which they built their cellar door.
Boat O'Craigo's single vineyard wines are hand crafted from grape varieties specifically chosen to suit each site. They crop at lower yields to concentrate the flavour of their fruit which hand-picked at just the right time to ensure they end up with wines of premium quality and character.
Rob Hall
Growing up in Healesville, Rob started his winemaking career at Yarra Ridge and Punt Road before landing the role of Winemaker at Mount Mary where he polished his skills and achieved great things.
After 10 years at Mount Mary, Rob then moved across to Kellybrook which also enabled him to start up his own label, Rob Hall Wines.
Rob is a very clever and passionate winemaker who has really made a name for himself in the Yarra Valley.
His hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail and focus on small batch wines make him the perfect fit for Boat O’Craigo as they continue their never-ending quest to consistently make premium craft wines - which highlight the quality of their estate-grown fruit and are a true representation of our region.
