Fin / Cré Wines

Fin / Cré Wines are made by JonJo, Oliver and Gus; mates that have a mutual passion for wine and everything Yarra Valley.
Fin being their experimental project with a focus on drinkability; they play with apple / grape / honey co-ferments, wines, piquettes, pet nats, cider etc etc. Cré is their Yarra Valley focused project, where they strive to make wines that embody the soils and climates of the Yarra.
For both projects less is definitely more. They aim to make wine that reflects place with minimal influences from vessel and additions, using wild fermentation, no filtering or fining. Always minimal movements, gentle handling and minimal SO2.
All the growers they buy fruit from are employing sustainable farming practices, this being the most important aspect of wine for Fin/Cré Wines.

Their wine is best served with mates.

About the Winemakers

JonJo McEvoy, Oliver Johns, and Angus Hean

Mates JonJo McEvoy, Oliver Johns and Angus Hean, make wines, ciders and piquettes on Wurundjeri land with “minimal faffery”.

They have a massive passion for all things experimentation, joking around and seriously good wine. They studied under the tutelage of Jamsheed's Gary Mills, and have learned a love for not only making delicious drops but playing around with alternative varieties and keeping things in a very lo-fi sense.

Growing and stomping raisins de cuvee, they're striving to make nectarous grog with minimal interference - they enjoy midnight biscuits afternoon chips, frothtops and banging tunes

Definitely winemakers that you will want to keep your eyes on, as they will be doing amazing things.
